LG is promoting their 11 kg capacity washing machine as the next big thing with “Big”, a television commercial featuring a city transformed by visual effects laden laundry.
We see the morning rush hour of a busy metropolitan city come to a standstill, intrigued by the spectre of giant shadows passing over the city. Amazed onlookers gawp at the surreal sight, in a scene reminiscent of a sci-fi movie, but which is finally revealed to be the result of gigantic laundry draped across the city. Giant babygrows hang across the street, enormous socks rotate on a wind turbine and mammoth jeans gently flap in the wind on a suspension bridge.
