Johnnie Walker in the Mirror

Johnnie Walker’s “Keep Walking” campaign continues with “Mirror”, a television commercial featuring a rock musician with stage fright. The visual effects laden spot plays the same actor talking to himself from the mirror of his dressing room. The question not addressed in the commercial is whether or not the artist’s vision in the mirror is a direct result of whisky drinking.

The scene opens backstage with a man sat at his dressing room table nervously holding a guitar as the sound of screaming fans can be heard in the background. Suddenly the man’s reflection in the mirror turns to look at him. His reflection then begins a passionate and motivational speech encouraging his alter ego overcome his fears and his critics, and telling him to simply, “Keep on Walking”. The spot closes with the man walking into the stage light as the noise from the crowd reaches fever pitch.

Ha! Kind of interesting, that question of whether his vision is due to pre-performance boozing. Much more interesting than the ad, for me. Explains his somewhat spaced out expression after hearing the whole speech.
