Havaianas Thong Challenge for Australia Day

Havaianas is calling Australians to join in the 4th Annual Havaianas Thong Challenge on Australia Day, January 26. Now in its fourth consecutive year, the 2009 Havaianas Thong Challenge will attempt to break the world record for the ‘longest line of inflatable air beds in water’, and in doing so help raise funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Surf Lifesaving Clubs. Online registrations are now closed but a limited number of registrations will be taken on the day, providing participants with a Giant Inflatable Havaiana Thong. Havaianas will donate $10 from every $30 registration to the Starlight Children’s Foundation and $5 to the nippers programs of the participating Surf Life Saving Clubs.

Havaianas Brand Director, Elke Munro states, “We are looking forward to our most successful Thong Challenge yet. Our customers are active and love to participate, we can’t think of a better way to engage with them and raise funds for our favourite charities.”

The 2009 Havaianas Thong Challenge will be held in five states across Australia at 9.00am (local time) at Glenelg Beach in South Australia, Torquay Beach in Victoria, North Bondi Beach in New South Wales, Sorrento Beach in Western Australia, and at Noosa Beach in Queensland.
