Flintoff Deals With Koala Box for Ashes
Puma Cricket is upping the ante in the Ashes cricket test series between England and Australia with “Koala Box”, a humorous online video featuring English cricketer Andrew Flintoff. The fast bowler, batsman and slip fielder has announced that he will be retiring from test cricket at the end of the Ashes series. Flintoff was man of the match in England’s victory at Lords in the second test match, taking 5 wickets in the second innings with his fast bowling. However Flintoff’s bowling was not enough to stop the Australians squaring the series in the third test match. There is one more match to play.
Flintoff explains that the Australian Koala box or abdomen guard is made of titanium to protect the players from his fast bowling, and is made in three sizes: small, extra small and extra, extra small. The cricket box is usually constructed from high density plastic with a padded edge and inserted in the underwear of male batsmen to protect them from balls that can travel at up to 161 km/h.
