Eye of the Cervix

B.C. Cancer Agency in Canada are promoting their Cervical Cancer Screening Program with Eye of the Cervix, a quick and easy cinema advertisement.

Eye of the Cervix uses red curtains (as in the movies) to give the impression of a gynaecological point of view during a pap smear. In fifteen seconds a nurse uses a spatula for a test with a smile. “And we’re done!”. It doesn’t take long to prevent cervical cancer.

The Eye of the Cervix ad was developed at Cossette, Vancouver, by creative director/art director Rob Sweetman, creative director/copywriter Bryan Collins, and agency producer Freda Chan.

Filming was shot by director Steve Gordon via Slim Gin, Vancouver, with director of photography Steve Gordon, line producer Sarah Duncan, and executive producer Debby Jenkins.

Editor was Ian Jenkins at Tonic Post, Vancouver. Music and sound design were produced at Wave Productions, Vancouver. Visual effects were developed at Tonic Post, Vancouver.
