Emerald Nuts present “The Nut Snob”, an animated television commercial featuring a French squirrel with a taste for Emerald Deluxe Mixed Nuts.

“Once upon an insipid time, a remarkable squirrel lived amongst idiots in a bland and mundane forest.” A newly arrived squirrel with a French accent is welcomed to the forest by two of his new neighbours who have gone to the effort of collecting acorns as a gift.

The Nut Snob ad was developed at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners by creatives Chris Ford, Stefan Copiz, Tony Stern, Tanya Lesieur.

Stop motion animation was developed at Buddy System Studios by director Terry Rietta, executive producer Jan Wieringa, producer Susan Applegate, production designer Elizabeth Burhop.

Animation was co-produced at Angry Puppet Films by animation director/animator/director of photography John Harvatine IV, animation director/animator/VFX supervisor Eric Towner, animators Ethan Marak and Liz Harvatine, production coordinator Jenny Towner, lead puppet fabricator David J.
