Clearex, a treatment for acne distritbuted by Mediline in Israel, is being promoted as the way to clear pimples, rather than hide them, in a print advertising campaign demonstrating pimple camouflage. Three posters show teenagers with clever designs on their faces incorporating annoying pimples: Pacman, a dolphin and a car. “Don’t Hide It. Clear It”. As Sharon Rafael and Meron Sasson point out on the Y&R Israel blog (see for Hebrew versions), don’t be surprised if this starts a trend.
The Face Designs campaign was developed at Shalmor Avnon Amichay/Y&R Interactive Tel Aviv by chief creative officer Gideon Amichay, executive creative director Tzur Golan, creative director Yariv Twig, copywriter Sharon Rafael, art director Meron Sasson, account director Adam Polachek, account supervisor Dana Cogan, account executive Anat Ruderman, photographer Menachem Reiss.
