Cadbury in Australia has launched “Freddie Forever”, a quirky advertising campaign designed to promote Favourites as the fail safe gift option. What can you do with a hamster, a bowling ball, and a box of chocolates? A young woman, still grieving for her Freddie, is given a birthday gift by a well meaning male friend. Others in the party look on, knowing that the bowling ball is not likely to go down well. Surprises suck.

Freddie Forever was developed at George Patterson Y&R, Melbourne, by executive creative director Ben Coulson, art director Chris Northam, copywriter Simon Bagnasco and Romanca Jasinski.
Filming was shot by director Jess Bluck via Revolver.
The campaign was online at www.freddieforever.com but the site appears to have fallen over.
