BBC Signs Blake for Jerusalem Poetry

BBC is introducing the Poetry Season with a TV advert featuring the passion of football and the passion of William Blake.

A football club announces the signing of a new player, Blake, during a packed press conference. Blake, played by Easter European actor Oleg Khrapuno, has a few words to say, straight from the poem and hymn, Jerusalem, by William Blake. The crowd goes silent, and all over the UK people stop to appreciate the new poetry of football culture.
