BBC produced a classic television commercial in 2008 with a comedy of errors promoting the HD version of the Antiques Road Show.
The disaster movie announced the launch of the first UK free-to-air high definition channel, promising a more cinematic experience. The commercial showed a series of spectacular actions taken to stop a £ 2 million vase from breaking. The action hero is represented by newsreader Fiona Bruce who is seen diving, running and finally catching the vase as a car explodes.
