Amnesty Everybody Is Against Everybody

Amnesty International Portugal reminds us that somebody needs to be on the side of the victims of war, in a dark animated commercial. The 60 second advertisement portrays the gruesome realities of war through the ages, ending with the line, “Everybody is Against Everybody. Somebody has to be for them.”

The black and white animation provides a stark view of war through the ages, muted perhaps by the lack of red blood. The horror of combat and oppression is eclipsed by the dropping of a bomb on the continent of Africa. Click on the image below to play the video in YouTube

The Amnesty Portugal campaign was developed at Leo Burnett, Lisbon, by executive creative director/copywriter/art director Chacho Puebla, copywriters Bruno Ribeiro and Fernando Bellotti, art director Mico Toledo and agency producer Cristina Almeida.
