Volkswagen is promoting the new crossover vehicle, the Tiguan as effortless to drive, with “Walter”, a television commercial featuring a driving instructor in Georgia, USA. The ad shows Walter, a resident of Ellijay in the Blue Ridge Mountains, who has the knack of getting all his students through, even if it involves a haircut.
A succession of characters tell us how Walter’s students have an amazing 100 per cent pass rate for their driving tests. The ad reveals that Walter’s secret is his VW Tiguan, which, according to the strapline, is ‘simply effortless’ to drive.
