The Cat Empire Car Song in Music Video

The Cat Empire, Melbourne pastiche band, performs in the The Car Song, set in the context of a basketball game known as The Guilt Resolution Cup. The band, led by Harry Angus, walks onto the court to face their opponents, Their Sordid Past. The promo is full of references to high school life, the conflict between past, present and future aspirations. Cheer leaders, high school band, childhood crush, mascot and teachers all cheer the players on.
