Ekchai Distribution Systems advertised Tesco Lotus, a chain of hypermarkets in Thailand and China, with a print advertising campaign featuring fresh seafood in packaging. We’re shown hands reaching into a fresh water tank to retrieve a serrated mud crab, river prawn, splendid squid, and giant snapper.
The Tesco Lotus campaign was developed at BBDO Bangkok, Thailand, by executive creative director/art director Sithisak Sucharittanonta, creative director/copywriter Suban Khow, copywriters Chanatthapol Tiensri, Kongpope Siriwattanagarn, art directors Ariyawat Juntaratip, Supparat Thepparat, and photographers Anuchai Secharunputong and Ekapon Hiranphart. Retouching was done at Remix Studio.
The campaign won bronze awards at Clio 2008 (for the first three) and Gold Press and Outdoor Lions at for Cannes International Advertising Festival.
