Scrabble The Beautiful Word
Mattel word game, Scrabble, is promoted as The Beautiful Game in this set of weird and wonderful print advertisements from Ogilvy & Mather, Paris. Six print advertisements, Beast, Condom, Vampire, Nurse, Hula and Buddha, show sketched drawings connecting with each other, in the same way that words must connect with one another on the Scrabble board.
The Beautiful Word campaign was developed at Ogilvy & Mather, Paris, by executive creative director Chris Garbutt, copywriters Arnaud Vanhelle, Benjamin Bregeault, Mihnea Gheorghiu, art directors Antoaneta Metchanova, Alex Daff, Najin Ha, art buyer Nejma Tazit,account supervisors Benoît de Fleurian and Marie-Charlotte Lafront, advertiser’s supervisors Hervé Parizot, Arnaud Roland-Gosseliln and Fabien Delannoy.
The campaign won a Silver Press Lion at Cannes International Advertising Festival.
