Santa Casa de Sao Paulo, a hospital in Brazil, challenged apathy towards organ donation readiness with a print advertisement listing names of people waiting for a transplant. “If you needed an organ transplant, your name would be here. Be an organ donor. Let your family know.”
The Santa Casa Waiting List was developed at Y&R, Sao Paulo, by executive creative director/creative director Tomas Lorente, copywriter Marilu Rodrigues, art directors Axel Levay and Widerson Souza, art buyer Monica Beretta, account supervisor Valeria Ordonhez, advertiser’s supervisor Dr. Antonio Carlos Forte.
The Waiting List won a Silver Lion at Cannes International Advertising Festival 2008.
