Nike has released a new commercial for the Nike Football range of clothing and footwear, challenging players to leave nothing to fate. We’re taken through the lives of two NFL players, LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu, from childhood and adolescence through to adulthood. Throughout their lives these two young men learn to run and push everything out of their paths, until they meet each other…

Fate was developed at Wieden + Kennedy, Portland by creative directors Jeff Williams, Alberto Ponte, Tyler Whisnand, copywriter Jason Bagley, art director Ryan O’Rourke, senior agency producer Matt Hunnicutt, associate producer Juliana Montgomery.
Filming was shot by director David Fincher via Anonymous Content, Los Angeles, with director of photography Emmanuel Lubezki, executive producer Jeff Baron, producer Robin Buxton.
Editor was Angus Wall at Rock Paper Scissors with post producer Michael Goble, and executive producer CL Weaver.
Visual effects were developed at Asylum by VFX supervisor Sean Faden, producer Mark Kurtz, executive producer Mike Pardee, production coordinator Emily Hoovler, compositing supervisor James Allen.
Sound was designed at Mit Out Sound by Ren Kylce with producer Misa Kageyama.
Audio was mixed at Lime Studios by Loren Silver with producer Jessica Locke.
Music for the Nike Fate commercial is “L’estasi Dell’oro”, (The Ecstasy of Gold), by Italian film composer Ennio Morricone, written for The Good The Bad and the Ugly.
