National Car Rentals in 2006 aimed to promote their speedy service using the fastest charade in the West for Planet of the Apes. A hairy guy (Harry Karp) has his movie guessed before he even stands up by Pete Sepenuk. National’s Emerald Club is the quickest way to rent a car, letting customers bypass the counter, choose their own car and get an e-receipt.

The Charade ad was developed at Fallon by executive creative director Paul Silburn, group creative director/copywriter Stuart D’Rozario, art director Michael Rogers, copywriter Paula Maki, director of production Brian DiLorenzo, and agency producer Ted Knutson.
Filming was shot by director Jeff Gorman via Sandwick Films, Los Angeles, with director of photography Kris Kachikis.
