MTV knows how to manage a performer’s image. And to prove it here’s a print advertising campaign for the TV channel showing us that Ricky Martin, Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson can be recognised while Alexander Graham Bell, Marie Curie and Sir Alexander Fleming, despite their achievements, are not instantly recognizable.

Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone with Ricky Martin (Enrique Martín Morales).
Marie Curie, first woman to be awarded a Nobel prize, with Britney Spears.
Sir Alexander Fleming, disoverer of penicillin, with Marilyn Manson (Brian Hugh Warner).
