Morgan Tsvangirai and the Movement for Democratic Change have been banned from advertising on official television stations in Zimbabwe, in the lead up to the elections on June 27. Justice minister Patrick Chinamasa has said it is because international coverage favours the MDC and never reports the view of Mugabe’s ruling Zanu-PF.
Four ads have been uploaded to a YouTube channel, each with the tagline, “A New President Ready to Deliver a New Zimbabwe”. See Friends of Zimbabwe for more information.
