Hillary has conceded that she “did misspeak” about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire, blaming tiredness for a dramatic description that was shown to have been significantly exaggerated.
“I remember landing under sniper fire,” Hillary said to an audience in Washington. “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
