Guinness went viral with Hands, a short film produced by Michael Schlingmann, launched online in December 2006. The short film is online at Guinness, with a competition and behind the scenes videos, and at YouTube (registering 450,000 views after almost a year).
‘Hands’ is a story of one pair of hands waiting in anticipation for the ultimate reward – a pint of GUINNESS®. The action opens with drumming fingers and twiddling thumbs, before the hands launch into a sequence of quirky movements that end with the hands typing out the line “Good things come to those who wait” before we end with a perfectly poured pint of GUINNESS®.
