Greenpeace Axe Bomb

Greenpeace Romania presents deforestation as one of the ecological crises of our time, with a print advertisement developed at Saatchi & Saatchi Romania. A black and white photograph shows an axeman felling a tree shaped like an atom bomb explosion. “Stop the Catastrophe”.

The advertisement requires some lateral thinking. The tree itself is not the catastrophe that must be cut down. It is indiscriminate deforestation that is leading to catastrophic damage to the environment.
