The Queensland Government in Australia has launched an interactive site as a guide for young adults. “Get Out There”, today’s site of the day, getoutthere.qld.gov.au, provides a Sim City-like environment in which school leavers can explore aspects of adult life in Australia.
Interactive guides include budgeting, smart shopping, having a say (consumer rights and voting), buying a car, renting a house or buying a home, higher education, job hunting, health, Schoolies, fitness, and responsible gambling.
The site was designed at Cru Digital for the Department of Justice and Attorney General, along with numerous Queensland Government agencies and organisations.
Improvements to the site could include a favicon, a bit more variation in the music – perhaps even a choice. The site would benefit from more online promotion of its existence. It’s easier to find the earlier pdf versions of its content at this point.
