Genesis Pukeko Messages in New Zealand

Genesis Energy in New Zealand has used one of the country’s native birds, the Pukeko (swamphen) to illustrate a commitment to sustainable energy production and consumption. In “Nest” a pukeko gathers materials from many sources to build its nest. In “Mummy” A mother pukeko leads her children through a house demonstrating the ways New Zealanders can conserve precious energy.

Just wondering if any special effects were used in the advert of the pukeko’s or were they trained?

As a former kiwi living in Tasmania, I find these the most cute two adds I have ever seen on television. I first saw them when on holiday in NZ and just had to have a copy to show everyone here. After a few phone calls I was able to look it up on the internet and at last found what I was looking for much to my delight.
I would switch to Genesis if I was back in NZ.
My thanks to the guys who put these together.
