Here’s a light hearted ad for Foxtel Showtime put together in 1999. A French family find going out with their flatulent dog is a problem. In what could be inspired by Walter the Farting Dog, the book by William Katzwinkle and Glen Murray, a dog drives its polite family round the bend. It happens in the lift, in the car, and even at the movies, at home. It’s not the box. It’s the box office. The use of Citroen is inspired – the car itself appears to let loose during the emergency evacuation. Or perhaps it’s been holding its breath.
