Britney Spears has won three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008 for her Pieces of Me music video: Video Of The Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video.

Piece of Me features Britney Spears and the way in which her image has been formed by the paparazzi. While she appears in public wearing skimpy clothes she attempts to replace lurid tabloid stories with her own hopes and desires. Britney dreams of having the last word instead of being the victim of perverted photographers and reporters. She surrounds herself with blonde lookalikes, appearing in force and overcoming the overwhelming impact of the press crowd.
