Bridgestone Screams at Super Bowl
Bridgestone Tires are being promoted at the Super Bowl as the choice for drivers who want to get the most out of their cars. It’s Bridgestone or nothing in two television advertisements featuring Richard Simmons, Alice Cooper, an albino snake and 27 squirrels.
What happens when a deer, a fitness icon, a rock legend and his slithery companion confront a speeding car equipped with the precision technology of Bridgestone-brand tires?
In Squirrel more than 20 woodland friends exercise their lungs and count their blessings that a car passing through their home is riding on the world-class technology of Bridgestone tires.
The Bridgestone Super Bowl campaign was developed at The Richards Group, Dallas, by creative director Glenn Dady, art director Shane Altman and copywriter Mike Bales (Scream), art director Jeff Hopfer and copywriter Ron Henderson, agency producer JR Dixon.
Filming was shot by director Kinka Usher, via House of Usher with executive producer Nancy Hacohen, producer Kathy Rhodes, director of photography Max Malkin.
Editor was Tom Muldoon at Nomad with executive producer Susye Melega and producer Nicola Steele.
Visual effects were produced at Method Studios by lead 3D artist Andy Boyd, lead 2D artist Alex Frisch, CG supervisor Gil Baron and executive producer Lisa Houck.
Sound and music were produced at Wave Studios by sound engineer Johnnie Burn.

The Bridgestone NFL partnership also includes the first “Official Tire of the NFL” designation, official Tire Sponsor of Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLIII designation, title sponsorship of the Super Bowl XLII and XLIII “Bridgestone Super Bowl Halftime Show,” this year starring Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, strong presence at the NFL Experience, the interactive theme park in Arizona during Super Bowl week.
Bridgestone has been designated “Official Tire Sponsor of the Pro Bowl,” which is played the week after the Super Bowl in Hawai. Bridgestone also provided title sponsorship of the Bridgestone International Series featuring the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins playing at Wembley Stadium in London.
