Alka Seltzer Bullets Through Meat

Alka Seltzer, a product owned by the Bayer Corporation, is promoted in this print campaign showing a named tablet bulleting through high fat foods: a meat pie, a pork bone, and a beef T-bone steak.

The Alka Seltzer bullet campaign was developed at BBDO Bangkok, Thailand, by chief creative officer Suthisak Sucharittanonta, creative director / copywriter Subun Khow, art director Supparat Thepparat, copywriter Kongpope Siriwattanagarn, with photographers Anuchai Secharunputong and Nok Pipattungkul, Remix Studio Bangkok. Retouching was done at Remix Studio Bangkok.

Alka-Seltzer is a combination of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid, C9H8O4), sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), and citric acid (C6H8O7), and is designed to treat pain and simultaneously neutralize excess stomach acid. The “Alka” is derived from the word “alkali”.
