Here’s a touching public service advertisement, part of the ‘Homecomings’ campaign from WorkSafe and the Victorian WorkCover Authority. The campaign has just won the marketing program of the year and first prize in the social marketing category at the Australian Marketing Institute’s Awards for Marketing Excellence. The TV ad shows a range of people coming home from work. Tension is built throughout the ad as one boy bounces his basketball, anxiously waiting for his father. “The most important reason for making your workplace safe, is not at work at all”.
The Victorian campaign has proved so successful that three other states have adopted it.
