Rugby fans in Western Australia are being challenged to get behind their team, Emirates Western Force, with these provocative videos featuring rugby supporters from New Zealand, Sydney and South Africa. The three videos, online at saveitforthegame.com.au, are designed to shake off the apathy that has led to small crowds. This is just the tonic needed for an Australian rugby crowd tempted to walk away from the game in the wake of Australia’s loss to England in the Rugby World Cup. (The site has been taken down and the videos have been removed from YouTube.)
The Save It For The Game campaign was developed by 303 Group, Perth and Sydney, by creative director Lindsay Medalia, art directors / copywriters Richard Berney and Davood Tabeshfar.
Filming was directed by Dave Wood of ZZ Productions, Perth. Editor was Steve Drew at First Light. Sound was designed by Brad Habib.
