V8 Supercars, with the support of Telstra BigPond, and Future Climate Australia, is promoting their V8 Racing Green programs, planting over 15,000 native trees to offset the carbon emissions from the V8 Supercar Championships in 2007. In the TV ad two green lorikeets follow the V8 action, a sign that the environment is being considered by the V8 Supercars management. Viewers are encouraged to visit the V8 Racing Green web site (V8racinggreen.com.au) where they can calculate the impact of their own cars on the environment and arrange for their carbon emissions to be offset by tree planting.
