UNIFEM Lets End Violence against Women
UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women, has a campaign this year asking the hard question:What’s one of the biggest reasons for suffering from violence? Is it war? Racism? Extremism? Or simply being born a woman?
The clip tells us that 1 in 3 women is a victim of violence: trafficking, honour killings, genital mutilation, sexual exploitation, rape, domestic violence. “So who will be next? Your mother, your sister, or daughter? Let’s end violence against women.”

Go Duncan – it is refreshing to find a male who puts his money where his mouth is. So many men pay lip service to ending violence against women. You appear to show little disregard for the dread of publishing what many view as lower grade women’s issues that bring poor hits, income or interest.
I have long been a supporter of UNIFEM and naturally, of our Nicole (their ambassador). What this clip does not display though is that 1 in 3 women in developed counties are also subjected to the statistic.
Stop it Men. Women’s issues means that you will be affected because women are part of who you are.
