Thirsty Camel Bottle Stores Everywhere in Australia
Innkeeper bottle shops in Australia are being re-bannered as ‘Thirsty Camel‘, using a series of TV ads to spread the word. Camels find their way into everyday situations involving water: a men’s toilet, a bathroom, and even a traffic jam in which a motorist washes his window to cope with the 41 degree heat.

The Thirsty Camel campaign was developed at Twenty20 by account director & strategist Rod Curtis, creative director Fysh Rutherford; creatives Andrew Panozzo, Matthew Ellis, designer Rachael Simpson and agency producer Beaver.
The new brand name strategy was developed in partnership with Andrew Hoyne of Hoyne Design, who created the look and feel of the brandmark.
The spots were produced at The Hub.
Sound was designed by Stevo Williams at Flagstaff Studios.
The campaign’s ambient marketing material includes ‘camel bowls’ substituting dog bowls outside bottleshops, “beer-o-clock” egg-timers as customer give-aways.
The interactive site, www.thirstycamel.com.au, was developed by GTS interactive
