St. Vincent de Paul Society in Australia has launched a Christmas Appeal using a print advertising campaign reminding readers of the unseen stories behind the festive season.
The nightmare before Christmas – knowing you’ll be spending it alone. This is the time of the year the elderly fear the most. Loved ones either have passed away or moved on. They feel forgotten and sadly the festive season simply highlights their despair. Having someone to talk to, or help out makes a huge difference to their lives. This Christmas help change their story. Go to vinnies.org.au or go to 13 18 12 to make a donation.
Try kissing under the mistletoe with an eviction notice over your head. Every Christmas, hundreds of people, for reasons beyond their control, face a severe financial crisis. Unable to pay the bills or the rent, they’re thrown out of their homes to face a life on the streets. Go to vinnies.org.au or go to 13 18 12 to make a donation, and help change their story.
The St Vincent de Paul campaign was developed at Clemenger BBDO, Sydney, by creative director/art director Rocky Ranallo, art director/copywriter Gary Dawson and typographer Barry Beckley of One Eyed Dog Designs.
