Those of us non-smokers who are exposed to second-hand smoke are two to three times more likely to develop lung cancer. What scares me the most as well, is our children. Children whose mothers smoke during pregnancy have an elevated risk of leukemia. Perhaps we need to show smokers pictures of young children going through chemotherapy, and remind them that if they light up anywhere near a pregnant woman, they are contributing to that childs misery.
