Škoda, the Czech car manufacturer, has just released a television commercial for the new people mover, the Roomster, with 40 seconds of laughing. The Giggle TV advert shows components in a Skoda car factory responding to assembly with a variety of laughs. The super: “The Roomster from Skoda, Manufacturer of Happy Drivers”.

Skoda Giggle was created at Fallon, London, by copywriter Ian Heartfield, art director Matt Doman and agency producer Kirsty Burns. Heartfield and Doman have just moved to Fallon after a successful few years with AMV BBDO which climaxed in the award-winning spot, “Guinness Evolution”.
Filming for Skoda Giggle was directed by Andy McLeod, via Rattling Stick, the production company recently formed by Daniel Kleinman and associates. McLeod has just taken up the role of director with Rattling Stick, having previously worked with Kleinman in his role as founding partner and joint executive creative director at Fallon, UK. McLeod worked with Richard Flintham to create Skoda’s earlier ads, including “Train” and “Gymnast”.
Director of photography for Skoda Giggle was Alwin Kuchler. Editor was Steve Gandolfi at Cut and Run. Sound was designed by Parv Thind at Wave Studios, London.
