Coastguard NZ Accidents at Sea

NZ Coastguard has launched a chilling TV ad addressing public complacency towards boating safety. The ad demonstrates that unlike a car, you can’t walk for help or rely on someone to be passing by. A male driver gets into his car in an underground car park. As he reverses he hits a pillar. Driving forward he discovers that the wheels are spinning and the car is sinking into the ground. Camera and sound effects capture the terror of being trapped in a sinking vehicle, with no one to help. The super: “You can’t walk away from accidents at sea.”
