Nike released a golf-focused TV ad for Father’s Day this year, Great Expectations, featuring Tiger Woods receiving a custom-made set of clubs for his about-to-be-born daughter. Woods finished second in the US Open on Father’s Day in the USA, June 18, 24 hours before the birth of his daughter, Sam Alexis Woods. He and Elin announced the birth at www.tigerwoods.com.
“Great Expectations” opens in a Nike Golf factory in Fort Worth. Workers are designing, producing and testing a set of miniature golf clubs for “Baby Woods.” To the tunes of Brahms’ lullaby, the set of clubs is delivered to Tiger Woods, where he excitedly greets the package. The dialogue: “Very nice. Good job folks. Hey, perfect. Thanks mate”.
