Mitsubishi Outlander Revolution in South Australia

Mitsubishi Motors Australia is promoting the Outlander 4WD with a TV advertising campaign featuring South Australian scenery. A Mitsubishi Outlander is parked on a street long enough to witness the Adelaide Commonwealth Law Courts revealed as a canvas photograph. The picture falls to the ground allowing the 4WD vehicle to go off road and into a mountain lake setting. The same effect is applied to a vineyard, allowing the car to be driven onto the city streets again. As the Outlander approaches the Heyson Tunnels the driver switches from 2WD to 4WD. The canvas falls again to show the new setting, a beach. The tagline: “The All New Outlander. For Out and Out Versatility”.

I like the ad too. There’s a bit of vision in the ‘scenarios’ suggested in the canvas drops. But like my criticism of the Honda CRV ad, there’s nothing about the advantages of the car itself.
