Mitsubishi Motors Australia is promoting the Outlander 4WD with a TV advertising campaign featuring South Australian scenery. A Mitsubishi Outlander is parked on a street long enough to witness the Adelaide Commonwealth Law Courts revealed as a canvas photograph. The picture falls to the ground allowing the 4WD vehicle to go off road and into a mountain lake setting. The same effect is applied to a vineyard, allowing the car to be driven onto the city streets again. As the Outlander approaches the Heyson Tunnels the driver switches from 2WD to 4WD. The canvas falls again to show the new setting, a beach. The tagline: “The All New Outlander. For Out and Out Versatility”.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Revolution TV ad was developed at Clemenger BBDO, Sydney, by art director Kevin MacNamara, copywriter Sean Lavery, agency producer Denise McKeon, with account management provided by David Hallett, Nick Russo and Celeste Singleton.
Filming was directed by Robi Watt via Nylon films, North Adelaide with producer Vicki Niehus and director of photography Malcolm McCulloch. The only canvas used in filming was the bit that was driven over.
Music was composed by Rafael May, Sydney.
