Greenpeace Stop Whaling with Knitting

Greenpeace Poland has commissioned a television commercial featuring the unravelling of a knitted garment. Three men on a boat pull ropes attached to a whale. The tugging tears a hole in the fabric of the garment. As the wool comes undone, the whale begins to disappear. So too does the sea, the land, homes, the boat and the men themselves. The 30 second spot finishes with the super, “Stop Whaling” and the web site, www.greenpeace.pl/whales.

One Response to Greenpeace Stop Whaling with Knitting

A novel idea..anything that brings the plight of cetaceans to the fore is tremendous. Let’s hope Poland do have an IWC Commissioner in the upcoming meeting of the IWC in Anchorage who can stand against Japanese whalers brutality.
