Fosters Super Chilled in the Shadows

Foster’s UK is preparing for summer with another TV advert in the Foster’s Super Chilled shadow series. A chap (presumably Australian) in a beach resort bar buys a pint of Foster’s Super Chilled beer. His friends, waiting outside under a beach parasol, call him over. The guy demonstrates his capacity for nimble acrobatics, somersaulting, spinning, rolling in the air, doing backward flips and corkscrews. On the way across he manages to make the most of the shade from a windmill, a sign, female surfer’s board, and a frisbee, all the time avoiding spillages or over heating. And was anyone watching the acrobatics? No! His mates are all eyes for the girl. The tagline, “Foster’s Super Chilled. Well you wouldn’t want a warm beer would you?”

The Fosters ‘Never Leave a Man Behind’ ad was developed at M&C Saatchi, London, by creatives Luke Boggins and Dan McCormack with agency producer Peter Montgomery.

Filming was directed by Nick Livesey at RSA Films.

The campaign is part of a £45 million marketing programme for the brand which includes Foster’s BBQ activity, official beer sponsorship of the Rip Curl Boardmasters and an interactive website (www.fosters.co.uk).
