Feist 1234 Music Video

Canadian singer/songwriter Leslie Feist, usually known as Feist, has won popular support with her music video for 1234, the first single from her third album, The Reminder, released in May by Cherrytree/Interscope. The music video, featured in the recently released TV ad for Apple’s Nano Video iPod, was filmed in one unedited shoot, with elaborate camera rotation done during filming.

Feist walks into an empty dance hall in a sparkling blue outfit and pointy golden high heels. She’s joined by a dance troupe in many colours who take turns to carry her, accompany her and surround her. Finally, the dance troupe disappears behind Feist’s back as she takes a bow.

Lyrics for 1234

Written by Sally Seltmann, Australia

One Two Three Four
Tell me that you love me more
Sleepless long nights
That is what my youth was for

Old teenage hopes are alive at your door
Left you with nothing but they want some more

Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, You know who you are

Sweet heart bitter heart now I can tell you apart
Cosy and cold, put the horse before the cart

Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes
Too scared to own up to one little lie

Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are

One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can’t buy you back the love that you had then
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can’t buy you back the love that you had then

Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
Oh, who you are

For the teenage boys
They’re breaking your heart
For the teenage boys
They’re breaking your heart
