Ecostore, a New Zealand company that’s been working for more than 10 years to create a healthy, vibrant, and sustainable world, aims to inspire positive change by creating the products, service and experiences, that make it easier for people to ‘green up.’ Ecostore guarantees its products to be plant based and free of nasty chemicals, made in New Zealand, contain safe ingredients from renewable resources, concentrated… more effective, more economical, less waste, GE FREE, not tested on animals, packed in recyclable packaging with refills and bulk sizes available, meeting the highest environmental standards. With this in mind, Ecostore’s advertising campaign provided a contrast with ‘sick furniture’ – a corroded washing machine, fridge and wash basin.
The Sick Furniture advertising campaign was developed at TBWA Whybin, New Zealand, by executive creative director/art director/copywriter Andy Blood and art director/copywriter Richard Beesening, account manager Sam Attenborough. Photographer was Shaun Pettigrew. Post production was done at Cake by Andy Salisbury (retouching), Hayden Doughty (typography) and Wah Yu (production).
