eBay Australia is launching “Make Shopping Exciting”, a new integrated national advertising campaign. The campaign begins with ‘Whistler’, a 60 second TV ad shot on location in Whistler, BC, Canada, the host mountain resort for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The campaign is online at eBay Exciting.

In the middle of a huge snow fight a young woman grabs a shopping trolley and launches herself down a luge track. She navigates her way through the bobsled course in a shopping cart, to the sounds of ’1234′, a single recently released by Canadian Indie artist Feist.

One Two Three Four
Tell me that you love me more
Sleepless long nights
That is what my youth was for
Old teenage hopes are alive at your door
Left you with nothing but they want some more
Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, You know who you are
Sweetheart bitterheart now I can tell you apart
Cosy and cold, put the horse before the cart
Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes
Too scared to own up to one little lie
Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can’t buy you back the love that you had then
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can’t buy you back the love that you had then
Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
Oh, you’re changing your heart
Oh, you know who you are
Oh, who you are
For the teenage boys
They’re breaking your heart
For the teenage boys
They’re breaking your heart

Speaking of ebay… not sure if anyone has checked out this site that a friend told me about – called My Hire Site. If not, definitely check it out – http://www.myhiresite.com.au . Its like ebay – except that people actually hire things on the site, rather than having to buy things. A great place based on neighborhood hiring and a definite money saver!
Congratulations for such a awesome commercial could you please tell me if the commercial will be on tv after that silly article on the sunday newspaper.
Regards from an ebay commercial fan
