Boots Here Come The Girls for Christmas
Boots, the British pharmacy chain, continues a line of glamorous Christmas advertising campaigns with “Here Come The Girls”, a celebration of the office Christmas party. Women at the office are surreptitiously indulging in manicure, eye make up, leg tanning, using web cams and glass doors as mirrors. At first these women attempt to maintain the pretense – but finally all inhibitions are flung aside. Female staff churn into the dressing rooms, the powder rooms, the bathrooms, making themselves beautiful for the office Christmas party. Hairdryers, used en masse, threaten to blow the office tower’s electrical system. Meanwhile, in the party room, the boys are snacking on cocktail sausages. Finally the women pour out together. ‘Tis the season to be gorgeous.
The Boots campaign was developed at Mother London by creative director Damon Collins, art director Peter Robertson, copywriter Susan Hosking and agency producer Angela Eleini.
