Bob Dylan Detour for Cadillac Escalade and XM Radio
Bob Dylan has appeared in a TV advertising campaign for Cadillac and XM Radio, driving a 2008 Escalade SUV across the Antelope Valley Desert and listening to XM Radio. Dylan says just one line: “What’s life without taking a detour?”. The campaign promotes the new model Cadillac as well as the Bob Dylan Theme Time Radio Hour show on XM satellite radio. XM is a standard feature on the Cadillac Escalade. The campaign launched with a :30 second television spot titled “Detour.” An online video vignette as well as a 30-minute sample preview of the “Cadillac” episode of Dylan’s XM show are available at www.xmradio.com/dylan-cadillac, and at www.mycadillacstory.com.
Dylan has previously appeared in TV ads for iPod (Modern Times) and lingerie chain Victoria’s Secret.
The Escalade Detour ad was developed at Modernista!, Boston by executive creative director/art director Gary Koepke, executive creative director/art director Lance Jensen, creative director/art director Nathan Taylor, creative director/copywriter Dave Weist, director of broadcast Charles Wolford and senior producer Donna Lamar.
Telecine and post/effects were done at The Mill, New York, by colorist Fergus McCall, Flame artist Tristain Wake. Audio post production was done at Sound Lounge, New York, mixed by Rob DiFondi.
