Back Scotland with Sean Lamont

Scotland’s bid for a place in the Rugby World Cup finals has been promoted with a poster featuring winger Sean Lamont posed against the St Andrew’s cross. The blue and white colours of this shot pick up the traditional war colours of the ancient Scots. Scotland finished second behind New Zealand in Group C, defeating Italy, Romania and Portugal. On Sunday Scotland faces Argentina.

The ad for Scottish Rugby has strong similarity to the Nike Football ad featuring Wayne Rooney against the St George Cross. The difference is that the World Football Cup had red cards. The Rugby World Cup doesn’t have blue cards.
