The Returned Services Association of New Zealand, as usual, have done an excellent job of inspiring the public to connect with the annual memorial for those who have fought and died in wars on behalf of their country.

The second poster promotes the first ever broadcast of New Zealand’s moving memorial service at Chunuk Bair in Gallipoli as part of Maori Television’s ANZAC Day line-up this morning. Judy Bailey and Julian Wilcox today cohost the coverage while Wena Harawira reports from the Gallipoli peninsula on the experiences and emotions of the many New Zealanders that attend the ANZAC services.
The broadcast, NĀ RĀTOU, MŌ TĀTOU: LET’S HONOUR THEM TOGETHER, crossed live to the dawn service at Te Papaiouru Marae on the shores of Lake Rotorua, the dawn service in Auckland, 2 pm in Gallipoli in Turkey, and 10 pm from Chunuk Bair.

Poppy Day in New Zealand was April 20. The sale of poppies is used to support the families of veterans.
