You Must Be Saved For A Bible

I was waiting to meet a couple for coffee, in Burleigh on the Gold Goast, when I spied this billboard. Above a hair salon the two phrases call out to the traffic, “You Must Be Saved… For A Bible”. The small print – Acts 4:12 – is a reference to the verse, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Of course, to read that verse, you might need a free Bible.

What’s not clear is what we need to be saved from. The only clue is that we’re going to be saved for a free Bible.
